The Instagram Lettering Challenge called 30 Days of Bible Lettering is an excellent opportunity to practice lettering one of my favorite topics- the Word of God. Here are some of my favorites from the last several rounds of the challenge:
This lengthy verse adapted from Philippians lent itself well to one of my first phone case designs (which is for sale on Etsy.)
I also adapted this verse from Joshua into a design for a print, which you can buy on Etsy.
One of my most unique lettering pieces, this verse was Inspired by old wrought iron ornamental gates from the Victorian Era. The metalwork theme compliments the meaning of the verse.
This verse uses yellows and gold thematically to enhance the theme of wisdom's true value, a nod to the verse, "Seek wisdom as gold."
The florals in this piece depict how love can bloom when it triumphantly endures various trials.
"Fight the Good Fight" draws inspiration from Victorian tales of chivalry and knighthood to enhance themes of the battle of faith.
A collaboration with Laura from God's Fingerprints, this lettered watercolor painting personifies the peace we can find in Christ when we cast our burdens on Him. Watercolor painting by Laura; lettering by me.
