Advice I'd give my younger self? Enjoy the quiet moments, of course, because someday you'll be a mom of three, and peace and quiet will be a hot commodity. This illustrated hand-lettered piece answered the #SuperNiceAdvice GoodType Tuesday challenge in May 2018 and was featured on GoodType.
This piece was a fun exercise in conforming lettering and florals to a shape.
This piece was done, paradoxically, while I was stuck in a creative rut while trying to figure out how to move through it. I found that the best way to get out that situation was to stay inspired and keep designing. 
Done in answer to a #Homwork Instagram challenge in November 2018, this piece continues to be one of my most popular posts, drawing inspiration from colors and florals of late fall. 
I often get questions how to start hand-lettering, or how to get better. I firmly believe that it simply comes down to these tenets: Just start. To get better, you keep at it, while drawing inspiration from other hand-lettered work. Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and try new concepts... then practice some more. While you can benefit from classes or courses, you can also implement these principals and learn to letter on your own. This piece was meant to be a fun infographic to depict these learnings. 
A study of Baroque-style flourishing and metallics, this piece was done to help pass the time as I awaited the (days overdue) arrival of our third child. 
Although the exact meaning of the Hebrew word "selah," which appears frequently in the Psalms, is not precisely known, I once heard it described as “Pause and ponder.” We loved the sound and meaning of this word so well that we ended up naming our second daughter Selah.
